Your World Wonders Me (2021) is a multi-sensory exploration within an immersive audio-visual environment. A combination of dialogue, vocal harmonies and abstract filmed footage invites the viewer to experience a visual soundscape that plays on vision and sight at once. Through fragments of conversations on the lived experience of synaesthetes this work seeks to offer the audience an empathic and sensorial insight into this neurological condition.
Kate Flurrie is an artist filmmaker working across moving image, video design, and contemporary dance film and performance visuals. Her interests lie in applying moving image for emotional connection whether through abstract imagery or an experimental narrative approach.
