Welcome Back To My Channel, 2026, multi-channel digital video installation and mixed media installation.
The work combines internal medical imagery, simulated medical imaging, and a series of Vaginal POV vlogs. Moving between the interior of the body and the outside world, the images juxtapose examination, memory, and everyday life. Borrowing the format of vlogs and streaming channels, the work allows an organ long subjected to attention, yet deprived of its own narrative agency, to transmit its own signal.
The videos are embedded within different objects, tracing the objectification of the female body as it is consumed, interpreted, substituted, and translated into desire, knowledge, commodity, and symbol.
Eventually, it loses its visibility.
The vagina has never been absent from view.
But being seen does not mean being attended to.

Henan Xu 徐赫男(b.1999) is a moving image artist and filmmaker based between London and Beijing, working primarily with film and moving image cross installation. Her practice explores the shifting relationships between humans, their surroundings, and the worlds they inhabit, approaching them as states of flux, tension, and mutual permeability. Her works often employ narrative moving-image language to enter ambiguous and complex fissures between personal experience and reality.
Works she participated in as part of the core creative team have been awarded and screened at international film festivals including Sundance Film Festival, Tampere Film Festival, and Raindance Film Festival.
