Orthodox Perceptions of Retinal Rationalities... and What They Owe Your Cerebellum (2019)
Multi-channel Video, Sound and Sculptural Installation, dimensions variable.

As the son of American politicians and the youngest of eleven siblings in a patchwork family, I grew up in a cacophony of perspectives. At times this was made more discordant by deliberate miscommunication. This personal context informs my practice, which explores the chasm between what is expressed and what is perceived, what is perpetually lost in translation and the multiple meanings and misinterpretations inherent in pluralistic narratives. These conventions of bias histories and optics are used to redefine past narratives and challenge their established interpretation.

This installation of works deal with the origin story of miscommunication....babel.
